Who can register for which courses on Campus Management starting in the middle of the second week of classes?

If you have been offered a place on a course, please register for the course in your Campus Management account between the middle of the second week of classes and the end of the regular Campus Management registration period. This is possible in the following cases:
Kindly note: Exchange students ("Incomings") in ABV and German courses will receive a certificate. Please do not register on Campus Management, even if it is theoretically possible in some cases.Preparatory course students:
- in French, Italian, Portuguese, and Spanish for all introductory and intermediate modules regularly scheduled in the semester
Bachelor's students:
- with an ABV area (i.e., those not studying to become teachers) for all ABV language modules (except Ukrainian)
- in Elementary Education
- Section "Lehramtsbezogene Berufswissenschaft“ (LBW): for all ABV introductory modules, Part 1, for Arabic, French, Italian, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, and Turkish in the module "Einstiegsmodul A"
- Compulsory elective subject English: for Oral Skills and Writing Skills 1 und Oral Skills and Writing Skills plus in the module “Oral & Writing Skills I plus”
- Focal subject French: for the advanced modules 1-3
- in Romance Languages and Literatures studying or not studying to become teachers (e.g., B.A. Spanish Language and Literature, 60 CP minor subject French Language and Literature, 30 CP minor subject Italian) for all introductory, intermediate and/or advanced modules according to the respective study regulations
- in Italian studies for the advanced modules 1-3
- in English Language and Literature studying or not studying to become teachers (B.A. English Language and Literature and 60 CP minor subject English Language and Literature) for Oral Skills and Writing Skills 1 + 2 and Mediating Skills
- in North American Studies (Mono-B.A. program in North American Studies, Major or 60 CP minor subject North American Studies) for Oral and Writing Skills A + B and Advanced Academic Writing Skills
- in Social and Cultural Anthropology (major) for all ABV introductory modules, Part 1 and Part 2, for the languages Arabic, Polish, Russian, Ukrainian, and Turkish in the module "Sprachen B"
- in History and Cultures of the Middle East (Concentration: Arabic Studies, Islamic Studies or Semitic Studies) for Arabic I-IV
Master's students:
- German as a Foreign Language: Cultural Studies for all ABV modules (except Ukrainian)
- Elementary Education for all ABV intermediate modules starting from intermediate module 2 in Arabic, French, Italian, Polish (only up to intermediate module 4), Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, and Turkish
- East European Studies for the ABV modules in Polish and Russian
- Romance Literatures for all introductory, intermediate and advanced modules and the master's module in French, Italian, Portuguese, and Spanish
- Linguistics (“Sprachwissenschaft”) for all ABV modules (except Ukrainian), they can be found in the section “Fremdsprachen (affin)“ (only possible for students studying according to the old study regulations effective 2016, see instructions [PDF, German version only])
What happens if I cannot register for the course on Campus Management myself?
If you actively and regularly participate in the course, the Language Center administration will register you on Campus Management after the end of the course during the semester break. You don't need to do anything or notify anyone for this.
Exceptions:
- Ukrainian courses: You will receive a certificate.
- German courses (except ABV courses): You will receive a certificate.
- Exchange students ("Incomings") in ABV and German courses: You will receive a certificate. Please do not register on Campus Management, even if it is theoretically possible in some cases.
- Auditing Students from other German universities (“Nebenhörende”): Auditing Students will be registered on Campus Management according to the procedure described here.
What about semester break courses?
There is a separate registration period for these courses at the Language Center via an online form. You cannot register for these courses on Campus Management yourself. If you actively and regularly participate in the course, you will be registered on Campus Management by the Language Center administration after the course ends.
