Memorial to the murdered Jews of Europe

This memorial is the Holocaust memorial for Germany. It is a place of remembrance and commemoration of the six million Jewish victims. The memorial consists of a Field of Steles and an Information Centre. The exhibition in the Information Centre reconstructs the persecution and extermination of the European Jews and the historical crime sites. You can explore this exhibition individually with an audio guide, which offers a deep insight into the history and European dimension of the Holocaust.

On a guided tour through the museum you will gain deep insights into Jewish life in Germany and in Berlin.

Berlin Wall Memorial (Open air exhibition)

The Berlin Wall Memorial, situated at the historic site on Bernauer Strasse, commemorates the division of Berlin and of Germany during 1961 and 1989. The memorial contains the last piece of Berlin Wall with the preserved grounds behind it and is thus able to convey an impression of how the border fortifications developed until the end of the 1980s. The events that took place here together with the preserved historical remnants and traces of border obstacles on display help to make the history of Germany’s division comprehensible to you.
