Language test dates for winter semester 2017-18 admissions (1st semester applicants)

For applicants requiring a language test in English (for test dates in other languages, please read the information in german)
The language tests normally take 2 hours to complete and are held between 9am and 5pm. Due to the large number of applicants, the exact test slot will allocated at a later date.

Applicants must register online (June 1st to July 19th 2017 only) in order to take the English-language test.

You cannot register until you have received an application number and applicant account from the admissions office.

Applications for a place on the Bachelor programme made via uni-assist may reach the Freie Universität Berlin after the July test dates. In this event, applicants have to register for  a test appointment in September by themselves after creating an application account at Freie Universität berlin

Please note:

The total duration of the English-language test for applicants to the above programmes is normally 2 hours. The test will take place on the above dates between 08:30 am and 5 pm. Candidates must register here to take the test, between June 1st and July 19th 2017 at the latest, in order to receive more precise information as to their 2-hour testing slot.

Candidates may only register for the test once they have their application number and have created their own application account.

Applications for deferment of the test date should be submitted by email prior to the July test date. Please send your email application to defer the test to the following email address: pruefungsverschiebung@sprachenzentrum.fu-berlin.de (Subject: Application to defer test / July language test). 
Should you be unable to attend the test date due to illness, you will need to submit an email application to defer the language test no later than three days following the July test appointment. In this case, please attach a scanned copy of a doctor’s note or medical statement as proof of illness; send the email with ‘Application to defer test / July language test’ in the subject line.  
Alternative test dates will be offered in September for those applicants unable to attend the July test date.
